Old Line Equity is a lower middle market private equity firm using a permanent capital vehicle to invest in profitable small businesses from retiring owners and family businesses. We invest in businesses with target EBITDA ranging from $1 million to $10 million through a variety of structures.

Our name comes from the "line" as referred to by General George Washington during the Revolutionary War to describe the area that protected the Continental Army and reinforced the border in Maryland.

Founded by military veterans, our core background is operational turnarounds and special situations. With this foundation, we are able to extend this experience into our investment model utilizing an operator lens philosophy and focus on human to human deal making.

Since 2016, Old Line's investment focus has been search funds both through direct investments and investment funds. We are always looking for new acquisition and investment opportunities and welcome a conversation with any search fund (Traditional & Self-Funded), transitioning business owner, or investor groups.
ADAM H. BORCZ
Mr. Borcz is the Founder and Managing Partner of Old Line Equity. He has worked in a variety of private equity roles in lower middle market since 2013 including an Associate and Operating Partner focused on distressed acquisitions, and most recently as a General Partner and Investor via the Search Fund model.

In 2019, he became just the 3rd owner in 35 years of a B2B services business, Delta Installation Group, where is still the majority shareholder and Chairman.
​
Prior to this, Mr. Borcz worked for a publicly traded energy company and served for 7 years as a Nuclear Submarine Officer.
​
He earned a BS degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he was also a Division I Lacrosse player and 2x All American. Additionally, he earned a MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and a Master's of Science in Engineering from the Catholic University of America.
Adam lives in Annapolis with his wife, daughter, son and dog, and is very active with the Naval Academy alumni and lacrosse program.
